On September 7, 2022, our Artistic Director, Sherene Melania received an award from Consul General Strozzi for “strongly contributing to strengthening the relations between Italy and the United States, reinforcing the ties between our nations.” General Strozzi also honored the Assisi Sister City Committee, the Knights of St. Francis, and Roots of Peace for the goodwill that was exchanged between San Francisco, Rome, and Assisi over the summer.
Sherene thanked Richard Armanino, the Sister City Committee, and Supervisor Catherine Stefani for making the trip possible. She shares this award with our PDT families and all of our new friends in Italy!
