Youth Company

Providing high quality Vaganova style ballet, with an emphasis on teaching cultural diversity, thereby training the next generation of global citizens

PDT's Youth Company provides young artists-in-training, ages five to 18, with an unprecedented opportunity to study Vaganova-style Ballet, Folk, Character & Historical Court Dance, and perform alongside the Adult Company in our Signature Productions. PDT students have been accepted into professional dance companies, college dance programs and summer programs with the Kirov, Royal, Bolshoi and ABT, among others.

The Youth Company's elite and ensemble divisions accommodate pre-professional students and budding arts' enthusiasts. Training emphasizes cultural diversity, to educate the next generation. Year-round classes are offered, as well as specialty master classes, dance intensives and summer camps.

Eighty percent of our graduating seniors receive dance scholarships at various universities including Stanford, Columbia, NYU, Chapman and Duke. Ten percent of our graduates are working artists. Recent alumnae are working in international dance companies (Australian National Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance, Chicago), on Broadway (“Mean Girls” and “Finding Neverland”), and PDT’s adult company.
